Ilderton Contractors is more than just one of the finest new custom home builders in the Charleston area – we also provide remodeling and renovation services with the same level of care and attention to detail.

We began doing renovations because of requests from satisfied clients who wanted to update the homes that we had originally built for them – a true testament to the trust that we strive to earn from our customers.

We have done several complete restorations in the historic district of downtown Charleston, where the requirements for quality are exacting.

Our in-house staff has ability and expertise to manage your project from design through production, from concept to reality. We provide design services for smaller projects. We also can recommend architects and engineers for larger projects such as major additions or complete renovation since we have long standing relationships with many design professionals. We will, of course, also work with any designer that you prefer.

We schedule regular jobsite meetings to review progress and help with the decisions that need to be made to keep the project on schedule and budget. We help you through this dynamic process and make any building experience with us a pleasure and one you would wish to repeat.

All projects - no matter how large or small - take on a unique feel as they change from paper to reality. We are flexible and look for ways to improve the project as it progresses. We suggest improvements in design, alternative materials and cost-saving approaches. We share ideas to provide the small touches that enhance your home’s beauty and value.

We pay attention to the quality and detail that makes your home special. Our custom woodshop is capable of producing specialty millwork and reproductions of existing millwork.

We do projects of all sizes, from complete restoration to bathroom remodeling to roof replacement.
